Audition for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

Announcement of Adult Auditions (ages 16+)

Auditions: February 10th & 15th at the rehearsal studio behind the Beaty Theater (4300 Lee Ave., Fort Lee, VA)

Callbacks: Date to be announced, by invitation only

Rehearsal start date to be announced for a May 8th -24th run. 

Homefront Players in association with Beaty Theater will hold auditions for its final production of the season, “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.”   One of the most enduring shows of all time, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. This toe-tapping musical if fun for the whole family and will have you singing as you leave the theater! 

 Director, Frank Foster, Music Director, Leilani Fenick, and Choreographer, Bridget Lydia, are looking for a strong, diverse, and high energy ensemble of actors for this production.  

Character breakdowns can be found on the sign up link.   Please note that the genders we have listed in the character breakdown align with the character, but actors of all genders are encouraged to audition.

Please arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of your scheduled slot to fill out paperwork. 

Those auditioning should prepare to sing  a one minute musical selection that showcases your best self!  All audtionees will attend a choreography audition after singing so please be prepared to move.  Please bring sheet music in the correct key and be dressed for movement. If you are unable to attend but would like to submit a virtual audition, please contact us via direct message on either Facebook or Instagram.

Auditions for the youth chorus (ages 10+) will be announced at a later date.

 
Anyone over 18 entering Fort Lee will need to call (804) 720-0163 ahead of time (3-4 days or more) to get pre-vetted to get on base. Please plan ahead! Once you are vetted you will not have to do this again to drive to rehearsal!
